Who Am I?
I am a hospitality consultant, speaker, and someone who believes that running a great business should never come at the cost of your health or happiness.
My journey into this work began long before I ever owned a restaurant. When I was a kid, I sat in the passenger seat of my dad’s car as he sang loudly with the windows down, completely lost in the music. People were staring, and I told him it was embarrassing. He turned the music off, looked at me, and said, “Never let what other people think of you change who you are or what you do.” Then he turned the music back up and carried on singing.
I never forgot that moment, but somewhere along the way, I stopped living by it.
As the founder of Ojo Rojo, a multi award winning restaurant and mezcal cocktail bar in Bournemouth, I spent nearly a decade inside the chaos, creativity, and constant challenge of hospitality. I poured everything into the business, my time, my energy, my identity. Every good week made me feel like I was enough, every bad one made me question it all.
Eventually, I realised I had let my happiness depend entirely on the business. I had forgotten who I was outside of it.
That realisation changed everything. It showed me that true success is not just about growth or awards. It is about peace of mind, strong relationships, and being able to enjoy what you have built.
Now, my focus is helping others rediscover that balance for themselves.
